LEED Certification
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System(TM), created by the U.S. Green Building Council, is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole building approach to sustainability by identifying performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency,. Harlequin is actively involved in construction that aligns with these objectives.

Green Globe Certification
The Green Globe Company Standard (Underpinned by Earthcheck science) is based upon the Agenda 21 plan endorsed at the Rio Earth Summit in 1992, and provides a set of principles for action on sustainable development. The certification is designed for organisations within the travel and tourism industry and provides an environmental management framework, as part of the process to achieve certification.
