Buccament Bay Resort in St Vincent & The Grenadines
A few months ago, Buccament Bay Resort was awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for 2013. This award honours select accommodations, attractions, and restaurants that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence, and it arrived as the award-winning Caribbean hotel surpassed a staggering 250 5 star reviews on the website!
That award came in the same month that Buccament Bay Resort in St Vincent & The Grenadines was nominated for three World Travel Awards, including “Caribbean’s Leading Resort”. Hailed as ‘the Oscars of the travel industry’ by the global media, the awards acknowledge and recognise excellence in the world travel and tourism industry and are regarded as the very highest achievement that a travel product could hope to receive.
At the World Travel Awards 2012, the resort won “Caribbean’s Leading New Hotel”, where Buccament Bay Resort beat the likes of Hotel Riu Palace Bavaro (Dominican Republic) and The Hotel Chocolat (St Lucia). The resort also won “St Vincent & The Grenadines’ Leading Spa Resort” over competitors like Palm Island Resort, Petit St Vincent Resort and Young Island Resort.
Over the last three years, Buccament Bay Resort has welcomed a wide range of sporting superstars to its Harlequin Sports Academy. Pat Cash held special coaching for guests at the Pat Cash Tennis Club, John Barnes provided training for young and old at the Harlequin Soccer Academy, whilst Rob Howley and Lewis Moody ran rugby master classes at the Rugby Camp. This is just a small selection of the huge sporting stars that have been to Buccament Bay Resort. Click here to see who’s coming to resort next.
The Harlequin Performing Arts academy has also proved to be a highlight for many guests and in the last three years it has welcomed a range of West End stars, musical directors and composers.
Now the academy has a new face in the Theatre School, which is run by West End and Les Miserables star Phil Cavill alongside extremely successful drama school director Netta Barnes.

Buccament Bay Resort has also had the pleasure of looking after some famous faces, like the talented and lovely actress Michelle Keegan, 2012 Olympic hero Max Whitlock and Nathan Skyes from hugely successful boy band The Wanted.
Birthday celebrations were held on 13th August and guests were treated to performances from West End star Phil Cavil and drama school director Netta Barnes, who were accompanied by young guests coached at Harlequin Performing Arts Academy. Pat Cash Tennis Club head coach James Droy also entertained guests with his singing.
Buccament Bay Resort also had delicious birthday cake, a local band playing and fireworks to end the evening’s festivities. Below are some photos from the event:
