World Cup fever will be coming to Buccament Bay Resort from 1st July to 14th July 2014 as former football stars Peter Beagrie and Paul Walsh join us on resort to coach guests.
Peter and Paul will be running masterclass coaching sessions at our Soccer School, as well as giving their expert analysis on the World Cup Final and other leading matches. There will also be a question and answer session, where guests can ask the pros about their careers, playing tips and who they think is tipped to win the World Cup.
Paul Walsh enjoyed many years at Liverpool FC as a centre forward, helping them win the League Championship and FA Cup in 1986. He spent his other playing years at the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Now he is a successful television pundit and Sky Sports columnist.
Peter Beagrie played as a left winger for many clubs throughout his career, including Everton and Manchester City. Peter has now turned his hand to commentating and is a regular TV pundit on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday.
In October 2013, Buccament Bay Resort had the honour of hosting the FIFA World Cup trophy when it visited St Vincent & The Grenadines as part of its world tour. The event saw Governor General of St Vincent & The Grenadines Sir Frederick Ballantyne hold the legendary trophy and our lucky staff members and guests were able to catch a glimpse of the trophy and have their photos taken with one of the world’s most recognisable awards.
